- Hillary ended the rally by saying that Sander and herself and “joining forces to defeat Trump.”
It’s official, Bernie is now a Hillary groupie because Senator Bernie Sanders joined the Clinton team today.
Sander’s official endorsement came as he joined Hillary at her rally in New Hampshire where he said, “She must become our next president. Hillary Clinton will make an outstanding president and I am proud to stand with her here today.”
Of course, a Hillary rally wouldn’t be complete without some harsh words towards her archnemesis Donald Trump. Sanders criticized Trump for his lack of interest towards raising the minimum wage. “In these stressful times for our country, this election must be about bringing our people together, not dividing us up. While Donald Trump is busy insulting Mexicans, Muslims, women, African Americans and veterans, Hillary Clinton understands that our diversity is one of our greatest strengths.” Sanders said.
Apparently, Clinton and Sanders have been discussing joining forces for awhile, because Clinton has recently talked about making college tuition free. Which, is something that Sanders frequently pushed during his campaign.
After Sanders spent the rally talking up Hillary and bad mouthing Trump, Hillary stepped up to talk praises about Sanders. She ended with, “I can’t help but think how much more enjoyable this election is going to be now that we’re on the same side. She also said that they are “joining forces to defeat Trump.”
